GET INVOLVED

Want to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus to children? Become a Certified Volunteer to sit with children while they are at Immanuel House in DCS custody. Certified Volunteers play games, watch movies, make meals, read or just hang out with children during their stay.

Our volunteers are shining examples of Jesus. Each volunteer must have a profession of faith in Jesus and evidence of a walk with Jesus. Do you have a love for children? Do you feel called to make a difference in the life of a child?

Immanuel House Volunteers are the true hands and feet of Jesus to the children. If you would like to be part of this special ministry we would love to talk to you. The certification process through DCS takes approximately 30 days which includes fingerprinting and background check. Get signed up today to become a volunteer with Immanuel House!

VOLUNTEERING

In 2026 we will begin Life Skills classes for children in foster care and those aging out of foster care. We want to offer them opportunities to learn skills to equip them as they age out of foster care.

Classes will include:

Cooking

Budgeting

Home Economics

Auto Care

Mental Health Care

Woodworking

Sewing

and More... if you are interested in helping teach a class to children in foster care please contact us at immanuelhouselc@gmail.com. Not everyone is called to foster, but everyone can do something to help with foster care. If your gift or talent is teaching a life skill then we need you!

TEACH & MENTOR

Every child that comes to Immanuel House receives new clothing, shoes, toiletries, backpack, blanket and more. We accept only NEW donations of clothing.

Clothing items need to be sorted by size , folded and placed in tubs. Inventory is switched out for seasons. As you can imagine sorting clothing for every size in both Boys/Girls and Men/Women sizes is a monumental task. If you have good organizational skills that you want to put to good use let us know!
